Metro Manila Run Drives Momentum with Largest Delegation in RHEA Generics Trade Launch
The nationwide rollout of RHEA Generics sustained its momentum with the Metro Manila leg, held on May 6, 2026, at The Blue Leaf Cosmopolitan, bringing together district and branch managers from Mercury Drug Corporation for the largest gathering across the four-part series.
Held as the second major stop of the trade launch, the Metro Manila run brought together key leaders, global partners, and frontliners in a setting that combined scale with direct engagement. The session forms part of PHILUSA Corporation’s continuing RHEA Generics Trade Launch, which presents the brand’s portfolio while opening space for dialogue across the trade.
What distinguished the Metro Manila leg was the strong presence of senior leadership from Mercury Drug Corporation. Leading the attendees was President Steven Que Azcona, joined by Martin Gumayan, Vice President for Metro Manila; Corazon Lim, Senior Vice President for Merchandising; among others. Also in attendance was Annie Fuentes, Executive Director of the Mercury Drug Foundation. The event was further graced by Mrs. Rose Que-Lue, a Board Member and daughter of the late Dr. Mariano Que, along with her son, Nathan Lue.
Mr. Neogin Evangelista, President and General Manager of PHILUSA Corporation, opened the program and shared the RHEA Generics story with the Metro Manila group, noting, “We are grateful for believing in our purpose and advocacy of helping Filipino patients to have access to world-class quality generic medicines at an affordable price. Together with you (global partners) and Mercury Drug, we are supporting the government in one of its goals on the Universal Healthcare Program.”
The program then moved between a tribute to the late President Mrs. Vivian Que-Azcona, partner recognition, and interactive segments and icebreaker activities that engaged the audience throughout.
The Metro Manila run likewise doubled as the launchpad for RHEA Collagen + Vitamin C + Zinc, with guests among the first to try the newly introduced product through exclusive sampling.
Following the Luzon kick-off, the Metro Manila leg carried the series forward with strong participation from the field, setting the stage for the remaining regional runs.
