RHEA Generics Opens Nationwide Trade Launch with Strong Luzon Run

The nationwide trade launch of RHEA Generics commenced with its Luzon leg as the brand and its valued partners gathered at The Blue Leaf Cosmopolitan on April 28, 2026. Marking a four-part regional series, the event is designed to present the brand’s growing portfolio, recognize long-standing alliances, and create space for trade leaders to share insights on the future of broader access to cost-effective and reliable healthcare.

Among those in attendance were distinguished guests and key industry leaders, including Ronaldo Ranada, President, Luzon Regional Corporation; Atty. Guests were welcomed through a theatrical skit that portrayed the realities faced by many Filipino patients and how Mercury Drug and RHEA Generics help bridge these gaps. The program then proceeded with presentations on the RHEA Generics story, brand milestones, and product line-up.

Mr. Neogin Evangelista, President and General Manager, formally opened the program and shared the brand’s journey, along with the role of affordable, accessible, and available generic medicines in helping widen access to treatment for Filipino patients.

In his message, he shared the deeper purpose behind the brand’s continuing growth. “RHEA Generics is not just another generic brand on the shelf. It is a brand built on shared values, a shared vision, and a shared commitment to provide Filipino patients with world-class quality medicines sa abot-kayang halaga.”

That statement resonated strongly during a segment that recognized PHILUSA’s global pharmaceutical alliances built from 2014 to 2025. Among those acknowledged were Pfizer, Viatris, Sanofi, GSK, Otsuka, Merck, Fresenius Kabi, AstraZeneca, Lundbeck, OEP Philippines, Inc., Boehringer Ingelheim, Bayer, Sandoz, and its newest partner in the roster—Menarini. Over the years, these partnerships have supported the growth of a portfolio anchored on trusted molecules and world-class quality standards.

Mr. Ronaldo Ranada then rallied the Luzon team and voiced his full support for RHEA Generics, declaring, “Pilipinas, may reseta ka na ba? Dalhin sa Mercury Drug. Piliin ang RHEA Generics!” He then invited everyone to join the pledge: “We, the MDC Luzon Area, proudly support offering RHEA Generics to our Suki customers.”

For the guests in attendance, the launch provided an avenue to deepen familiarity with key molecules, learn more about their originators, and better understand the value proposition of RHEA Generics.

As the first stop of the four-leg trade launch, the Luzon run set a confident tone for the Metro Manila, Visayas, and Mindanao legs scheduled in the coming weeks.
