Merchandising Supervisor

Job Description:

The candidate will be responsible on the following:

  • Supervises the accredited manpower agencies on the following:

– Hiring of merchandisers for deployment
– Manning of merchandisers per team
– Addressing concerns of merchandisers regarding their benefits from the agency
– Assessment of merchandisers and coordinators
– Regular orientation of merchandisers and coordinators on product knowledge, merchandising standards, and planograms
– Purchase of merchandising materials needed by accounts
– Manpower pooling for immediate hiring during vacancies

  • Monitors the deployment and turnover of merchandisers, brand ambassadors, and coordinators
  • Coordinates with Marketing to cascade new products, tactical promos, and merchandising material deployments to merchandisers
  • Regularly checks the performance of merchandisers in trade, focusing on their routine merchandising tasks such as dusting, refilling, merchandising, and inventory
  • Reviews the output of merchandisers on tactical merchandising tasks
  • Prepares analyses of product off-take as submitted by merchandisers
  • Verifies the accuracy of manning lists submitted by the accredited manpower agency
  • Analyzes the validity of personnel requisitions submitted by team leaders before forwarding to the Trade Marketing Manager for approval
  • Continuously evaluates manning based on company standards
  • Monitors merchandising expenses of teams
  • Prepares merchandising services contracts for renewal, subject to approval by the Trade Marketing Manager and President
  • Prepares merchandising planning and budgeting data
  • Performs other tasks assigned by the immediate superior

Job Qualification:

  • Graduate of any four-year business course, preferably Business Administration, Management, or Marketing
  • Proven sales and/or marketing capabilities, with at least 3 years of experience in a sales or marketing position within the FMCG industry or a related field.
  • Knowledgeable in merchandising standards and labor laws.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
  • Impeccable integrity
